Bulk Image Compressor
Compress up to 20 images at once and download them all in one ZIP.
or drop them here · JPG or PNG · up to 20 images, 25 MB each
Features
- Compress up to 20 images at once and download the whole batch as one ZIP
- The percentage is applied per image, so each one shrinks in proportion to its own size
- Finds the best quality that still meets your target, image by image
- Runs entirely in your browser - nothing uploaded, no sign-up, no watermark
How to Use
Select or drop up to 20 JPG or PNG images, up to 25 MB each. They open straight away because nothing is uploaded. You can add more or remove any of them before you start.
Move the slider to say how small you want them. The percentage applies to each image separately, and the list shows the target it works out for every one of them.
Press Compress. The results appear on the right with the size before and after and the percentage each one actually reached, then download them all as a single ZIP.
About This Tool
Bulk Image Compressor makes your photos smaller without sending them anywhere. Choose up to 20 JPG or PNG images at once, set one percentage, and every image is compressed in proportion to its own size - a 100 KB photo and a 200 KB photo at 50% come out at roughly 50 KB and 100 KB, rather than all being forced to the same number. For each image the tool searches for the highest JPEG quality that still meets your target, so you lose no more detail than you asked to, and it shows you the size before and after, the percentage actually achieved, and a preview of every result side by side. When everything is done you download the whole batch as a single ZIP - there is nothing to save one file at a time. It all happens inside your browser, so nothing is uploaded, there is no sign-up, no watermark and no monthly limit, and it works on photos you would not want to hand to a website.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. The whole thing runs inside your browser, so your images are read, compressed and saved without ever being sent to us or anyone else. There is no upload wait, no copy sitting on a server, and nothing for us to delete afterwards. That makes it safe for client work, family photos, ID documents and anything else you would not want to hand to a website.
It is a size limit for each image on its own, not a quality number and not one size for the whole batch. At 50%, a 100 KB photo is aimed at 50 KB and a 200 KB photo at 100 KB. The tool then searches for the highest quality setting that still fits under that figure, so you never lose more detail than you asked to.
Because JPEG quality is a coarse dial and file size does not follow it smoothly. On a real test photo, quality 64 produced 134 KB and quality 65 produced 166 KB, while quality 66 jumped to 228 KB - so for a 204 KB target there is simply no setting that lands on it, and 166 KB is the closest that stays underneath. The slider is a ceiling rather than an exact figure, which is why every result shows the percentage it actually reached. Coming in under is the safe direction: your image is smaller than you asked for, never bigger.
It was almost certainly saved at a low quality already, so there is very little left to remove - you cannot compress the same picture twice and keep halving it. The tool tells you which images those are instead of quietly mangling them. If you need them smaller anyway, tick the box under the slider and it will reduce their width and height as well, which is the only thing left that will work.
Every image comes out as a JPG, because that is what makes photographs small. A PNG with a transparent background is placed on white first, since JPG cannot store transparency. If you need to keep transparency, a PNG-specific tool is the right choice rather than this one.
Up to 20 images per batch, each up to 25 MB. There is no daily or monthly cap and no account, because the work happens on your own computer rather than ours. Very large batches of very large photos will simply take longer and use more memory, so if a batch struggles on a phone, do it in two smaller runs.
